Japan City Light Industry launches LED rear light group for large trucks

Since November 2012, Japan City Light Industry has been selling LED backlights for large and medium-sized trucks in the aftermarket, including taillights, brake lights, and turn signals. All light sources use LEDs. There are 3 joints and 2 joints. The 3-connected product has 6 lights on the left and right sides of a car, and a total of 150 LEDs are used.

The new product has the same brightness and water resistance as previous products, has been certified in Europe, and meets the new technical standards for taillights and brake lights that were implemented in Japan in January 2012. In addition, with the lens specially designed for LED, the visibility is improved.

Previous products using incandescent bulbs used 10W of power, 1100 hours of durability, and 0.5 seconds of light response. Compared with the LED backlight unit, the power consumption is about 1/14, the durability time is 20 times or more, and the lighting response speed is 50 times or more. Among them, the power consumption is the value obtained by comparing the taillights on a car with a 3-connected type.

The new product has the same external dimensions as the previous ones and can be easily installed on large and medium-sized trucks from various Japanese manufacturers. Existing shades can be used and no wires need to be replaced, so anyone can replace them in less than 30 minutes. In addition, some models require the addition of intermediate connectors and other components.
