SpaceX plans to send astronauts into space next year

Following the launch of the cargo by NASA, the Silicon Valley "Iron Man" Musk's SpaceX plans to send astronauts to space next year.

On August 4, local time, Musk retweeted a media article on his Twitter account and commented: "I am very much looking forward to sending NASA astronauts to the International Space Station next year."

For SpaceX, as early as 2014, together with Boeing, it got a contract with NASA's "Commercial Spacecraft Development Plan" to build a spacecraft capable of carrying astronauts to the International Space Station. Currently, SpaceX is developing the "Dragon Spacecraft" No. 2, and Boeing is building the "CST-100" spacecraft. But their research and development is much more difficult than expected: both companies postponed the original 2017 launch plan to 2018.

According to a report released by NASA on July 20th, SpaceX plans to conduct a launch mission in February 2018, after which it will be tested in June, when two crew members will be launched. Boeing's plan is to conduct an unmanned flight test in June 2018 and begin a manned flight test in August 2018.

SpaceX, founded by Musk, hopes to greatly reduce the cost of space travel through recycling, and ultimately achieve the goal of “immigrant Mars”. In February of this year, SpaceX also announced that it will use a heavy Falcon rocket at the end of 2018 to transport the Dragon 2 spacecraft with two passengers to the lunar orbit and return to Earth. This is an important step for the company to achieve its ultimate goal. . SpaceX said at the time that once the NASA "manned mission" was completed, the space launch for ordinary people would start. SpaceX's ultimate goal is to travel to Mars for ordinary passengers.
