SSD = solid state disk, solid state hard disk, hard disk made of solid state electronic memory chip array, widely used in military, automotive, industrial control, video surveillance, network monitoring, network terminals, power, medical, aviation, navigation equipment and other fields
1. SSD update: When the mobile terminal accesses the network, it updates the SSD (the domestic base stations only update once by default, and then store it in the UIM card. After that, the SSD update process will no longer exist). This is done by the network. (AC Authentication Center) sends an SSD update message to the mobile terminal. Along with this message, there is also a random number RANDSSD, and then the mobile terminal will use the ESN (using a card machine) or UIM ID (use the local machine). UIM Card (Removable User Identity Module) and A-Key (determined by the operator and written to the mobile phone or UIM card at the time of shipment) and calculate the new SSD through the CAVE algorithm. 2. Verification of SSD: The terminal selects a random number RANDBS and sends it to AC, and then combines the previously generated NEW_SSD and IMSI (globally unique identifier of the mobile user) to calculate an AUTHBS value again through the CAVE algorithm and send them to the AC. Of course, AC will also use the same parameters to calculate NEW_SSD and AUTHBS, and compare AUTHBS sent from the mobile terminal. If the SSD is updated successfully, the new SSD will be stored in the AC database, and the mobile terminal will also put a new one. SSD is stored in the UIM card.
