Wu Shengbo, president of Osram Asia Pacific, said that one of its companies was originally the upstream of the LED industry, and recently invested in a downstream company, the purpose of which is to form an overall cooperation of the industry chain.

Small workshops are prevalent in low technology

At the beginning of this year, the National Quality Inspection and Quarantine Bureau conducted a random inspection of LED lighting products across the country and showed that the qualified rate of LED lighting products was only 51%. In Guangdong, where LED lighting products are most concentrated, the situation is particularly bad. In the results of a random inspection of 23 batches of 7 cities in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Zhongshan, Huizhou and Dongguan, the quality and technical supervision bureau of Guangdong Province failed to pass 17 batches, and the unqualified rate was less than 30%.

The application sector led the gains in the first quarter.

LED lighting has the energy-saving and environmental protection advantages that traditional lighting can't match. The National Development and Reform Commission's "Semiconductor Lighting Energy-saving Industry Plan" pointed out that the proportion of China's LED lighting in the overall lighting market will increase from 0.2% in 2010 to 20% in 2015. By 2015, the scale of China's LED lighting industry will reach 450 billion yuan, of which LED lighting applications will reach 180 billion yuan.
In the first quarter of this year, the total profit of LED listed companies was 477 million yuan, down 18.14% year-on-year; net profit was 399 million yuan, down 14.3% year-on-year. According to industry insiders, the LED market in the first quarter of this year is mainly due to the obvious gains in the application field. Although the total profit of the industry companies is declining, most of the gross profit of the application-oriented companies have increased to varying degrees.
Yang Delong, chief strategist of Southern Capital, said that LED has experienced explosive growth this year, and LED has entered a period of rapid growth in the world. This increase in demand should be a big background for global demand, LED application. One is backlighting one illumination.
