Culture is the core competitiveness of enterprises
Reporter: As one of the leading companies in LED semiconductor lighting inspection equipment, your company has a high level of online testing equipment, and many people in the industry are very interested in your company. What is your company's core competitiveness?
Zhang Jiliu: The core competitiveness of our company is culture. Our culture is supported by a good team and the quality resources of our customers.
Our company has established three sentences: learning in practice, growing in service, and transcending nirvana. The first sentence is to tell us and our team to constantly explore in practice, which means that you need to be close to the customer, in fact, it is necessary to pay attention to theory and practice at the same time;
The second is to grow in service, is to create a service brand around the boutique, different departments, colleagues have a sense of service with each other, the team in the process of running-in is not just to think about the problem from their own perspective;
The third is to transcend the nirvana, mainly to warn myself, not to be smug when you get some small results, to have the mentality of reborn, always pursue higher corporate development.
Reporter: As everyone knows, the patent issue is one of the important factors restricting the development of China's semiconductor lighting industry. Is your company affected by the patent bottleneck now, and what is the response strategy?
Zhang Jiliu: It can be said that the impact of patents on our company is relatively small. So far we have not encountered any disputes related to patents. On the one hand, the overall level of China's LED semiconductor testing industry is basically the same as the international level, and some of its capabilities have reached the international advanced level. On the other hand, this is inseparable from the fact that we have been pursuing independent innovation in technology. In terms of coping strategies, the focus is on R&D.
First, sufficient research and development funds. R&D supports maintaining 10% of sales in sales, sales of between 20% and 30% in the past few years, and some research and development funds that the state subsidizes for us. These funds are invested in research and development.
Second, we have now set up a basic research department. There are mainly doctors and senior engineers. The company has its own patent rights, and it tracks the patents of foreign patents.
Third, the formation of relatively complete patent protection. As we all know, the time for obtaining invention patents is very long. We took this as a strategic focus for the future development of the company at the beginning of the establishment of the company. Therefore, we should say that we will get some guidance points in the patent.
Fourth, do equipment that meets China's national conditions. In the whole process of product positioning, we are closer to our customers. Our company has a slogan. Test analysis, market demand growth rate is 200%
Reporter: How is the sales of the test products in the current market? Does your company have any testing equipment for domestic chips?
Zhang Jiliu: Testing products now, the entire industry chain is now weak, but it is just beginning. I think the real heat is in the second half of last year.
Now the test and analysis section, the luminaire test analysis and the market analysis of our packaged test analysis are basically growing at a rate of 200%, which can be reflected in our industry-leading market share and sales. The future is definitely 200%. The speed increase should be no problem. The laboratory test equipment was introduced very early. Now 40% of online testing equipment is invested in each line and is expected to be introduced to the market in the second quarter of next year.
Reporter: The current development of lighting is particularly rapid. Are there any problems and challenges in the measurement of LED lamps?
Zhang Jiliu: LED luminaires measure this piece is a very big challenge. Objectively speaking, the standards that we introduce at home and abroad are actually third-party standards. You take one thing. I take one thing. According to this thing, it is good or bad. Your light effect is still my light effect. Big.
A really good analytical instrument is to anticipate the problems that may arise in advance. For example, the heat test problem of the luminaire is definitely a difficult problem. There is no very good solution. We are taking a little test now. This is no way, but it is obviously not a problem.
Another problem with the design of the luminaire is the power problem. Many people have suffered from the power supply before. Because it is not professional, it is too contemptuous of the power supply. In fact, the power supply technology can break through, so the problem of power supply in the luminaire design will be less and less.
The biggest bottleneck facing packaging companies is talent
Reporter: At present, the development of LED packaging equipment in China is relatively fast. There is still a certain gap with foreign countries. What do you think are the gaps in these areas? How should we shorten these gaps in China?
Zhang Jiliu: The gap between domestically produced packaging inspection equipment and foreign countries is now mainly in three pattern camps: China, Taiwan, and Japan. Japan is the highest and most stable. Nowadays, many companies are more inclined to use Japanese, but they want to make high-end products, but not high-end equipment can make high-end products.
Taiwan’s relative price is lower than Japan’s, and the price is a bit different. What we have made in mainland China is that there are more than a dozen domestically produced large and small ones, and there are very few that have really improved.
Personally, as our company, regardless of market share or technology, there is basically no gap with Taiwan, and it may have a great relationship with the use of engineers. Taiwan’s products are also like this; with Japanese products, There is no gap in the test perspective, but there is still a gap in the structure.
China still has a long way to go in automation. There are many factors in it. First of all, some of the most basic processes can't be guaranteed. Your products are produced, but your manufacturers can't do it. In addition, you know that there is good. You can use the parts, but people don't sell them to you.
Reporter: You mentioned the three camps in Japan, Taiwan, and mainland China. Is there any strategy in this regard?
Zhang Jiliu: There are three strategies for us. The first is that technology must catch up with Japan, and it is close to it. Our packaging machine has also achieved a scale of 32K or more. The second is to compete with Taiwan for cost-effectiveness. In fact, the competition with Taiwanese companies is very simple. First, it is not technically leading. How much, I think that many aspects of our technology have surpassed Taiwan, and we can now achieve a lower cost in terms of value, because we still have the advantage of human resources; the third is our service, the service level should be said It has already surpassed many foreign-funded enterprises. China uses services to create markets. We have spent a lot of energy in serving this company, and there are a series of actions to strengthen our services.
Reporter: As a equipment manufacturer, Zhongwei is sure to have contact with our domestic packaging companies. What problems do you think are still in the packaging enterprises? How can these problems be improved?
Zhang Jiliu: I think the biggest bottleneck problem facing packaging companies is talent. Because there is no research and development, I know that I have brought the equipment over and brought the chips over. I invited two experienced engineers to produce them. Nowadays, Chinese universities, including some training institutions in this industry, are doing this. The engineers themselves are constantly learning. I think that after three to five years, the packaging will still develop very well.
