Changchun People's Street, formerly known as Stalin Street, was changed to People's Street on May 1, 1995. It is the main road of the north and south of Changchun City. It starts from the square in front of the station, south to the expressway around the city, and runs through the center of the city from the south to the north. It is 13.7 kilometers long and is the longest street in the city. In addition to the 36 meters wide from the station to the Victory Park section, the remaining width is 54 meters, which is the widest street in the city. People’s Square is the largest downtown square, linking many main streets leading to all directions in the city. People's Street began planning and construction in 1907. Before the Spring Festival in 2008, in the concept of revitalizing the old industrial bases in Northeast China and building an international metropolis, the Changchun Municipal Government invested heavily and the street-side units sponsored the night lighting of this famous street. A comprehensive update was built.

The Changchun City Night Lighting Project takes the People's Street as the main line and is divided into a section, namely the Victory Park to the People's Square; five nodes, namely Xinfa Square, Jiefang Square, Freedom Square, Gongnong Square and Satellite Plaza. It includes the key buildings along the People's Street and the lighting of ancient buildings. Walking on the re-lighting of the People’s Street, if you walk into the ocean of lights, it’s a fire tree, and it’s not a night.
