Hewlett-Packard's mobile network is sued by Russian mobile operators for frequent failures

Russia's second-largest mobile operator, Megafon, is suing Hewlett Packard Enterprise in a California court, arguing that the mobile network the latter helped build is often out of order, according to a new court filing.

Megafon said in the indictment that Hewlett Packard Enterprise Russia signed a contract worth more than $28 million with Megafon in 2013 to help Megafon upgrade its wireless network. But the system provided by Hewlett Packard Enterprise that helps Megafon store user data and services frequently fails.

To be precise, Megafon said the system, which Hewlett Packard Enterprise helped build, had major outages in November 2016, April 2017 and May 2017, affecting a large number of users.

Megafon also said that although it filed a lawsuit against Hewlett Packard Enterprise, it is also ready to reach a settlement with Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
