According to Mao Zongqiang, a professor at the Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology of Tsinghua University and chief scientist of the National 973 Hydrogen Energy Project, only hydrogen fuel cell investment projects (to be put into operation in 2020) will reach more than 100 billion yuan in 2017, with a production capacity of 170,000 hydrogen fuel cell engines. .
Behind the intensive investment in the hydrogen fuel cell industry, a large number of enterprises have started to deploy hydrogen fuel cells. However, most of them are still in the early stage of construction and have not generated any actual revenue, which has resulted in the loss of corporate performance. For example, the 2017 domestic annual performance report of the old domestic giant lead-acid battery giant Xiongsheng showed that during the reporting period, the company’s net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 36,229,500 yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 69.77%.
The company said that the main factor that caused the company's profits to decline is that the company has increased investment in new energy fields such as the fuel cell industry chain, IDC industrial chain, energy storage industry chain, and lithium-ion battery, and the project will not be able to generate benefits in the short term. . In addition to the strong shares, the Great Wall Electric also said that the new fuel-related fuel cell business is still in the R & D pilot phase, no industrial products, follow-up research and development there are major uncertainties. It can be seen that there is still a long way to go in the industrialization of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in China.
