The battery pack consisting of high-voltage and multi-cell batteries is mainly used in electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles, electric bicycles, power tools and other equipment. Lithium-ion batteries are widely used due to their high energy density. These high-energy battery packs require a good battery management system for detecting the voltage of multiple cells and the battery temperature. Without this monitoring function, the system may run out of temperature and cause the battery to explode. The battery pack's data acquisition IC is used to measure the voltage of multiple cells (usually 12 knots), but they scan and measure at most two temperature points. This article describes a low-power circuit that measures the temperature of up to 12 thermistors. It powers and configures the multiplexer, and in the absence of temperature measurements, the multiplexer enters shutdown mode to save power. The low-power circuit shown in Figure 1 scans and measures each cell inside the battery pack.
