Tensilica adds DRA audio standard to HiFi Audio DSP Algorithm Library
21ic News Tensilica has announced that the industry's popular HiFi series audio DSP (digital signal processor), based on support for more than 100 audio codecs and audio enhancement algorithm library, added "multi-channel digital audio codec technical specifications (DRA) audio standard. All products based on the HiFi series audio DSP are now in compliance with the multi-channel audio decoding standard approved by the People's Republic of China (GB/T 22726-2008). Larry Przywara, senior director of the multimedia market at Tensilica, said: "DRA is an optional audio codec standard for Blu-ray Disc format and has been identified as the audio codec standard for CMMB mobile multimedia broadcasting by SARFT. The DRA audio standard is terrestrial digital TV, IPTV, An important audio standard for Internet streaming and Blu-ray Disc applications in China."
