It plans to establish LED models combining solar energy and wind energy in Donghu Scenic Area, carry out LED supplementary lighting on Hankou River Beach and surrounding traffic trunks, and carry out LED traffic lighting pilots on new roads in Donghu Development Zone and Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone.

It is reported that the government will use three years to establish LED demonstration zones in transportation, bridges, tunnels, park squares and residential quarters, and strive to make Wuhan a national and even global LED manufacturing base. It is reported that there are currently six or seven companies producing LEDs in Wuhan East Lake Development Zone.
