Yunnan: All provinces use energy-saving lamps within 3 years

In June this year, Yunnan Province launched a search for 3 million energy-saving lamps. Yunnan Dali Prefecture, Qujing City, Xundian Hui and Yi Autonomous County, Anning City and Huize County were identified as pilots. Yunnan plans to use energy-saving lamps for three years in the provinces and cities.
Yan Deng, an engineer at the Yunnan Provincial Energy Conservation Center, said that an energy-saving lamp and an incandescent lamp can save 60% and 80% of energy, increase brightness by 4 times, and extend the life of the lamp by 4 to 6 times. According to estimates, after the use of more than 1 million energy-saving lamps promoted in Anning City this year, the average daily use of each energy-saving lamp is 4 hours, which can save residents electricity costs of 30.825 million yuan per year.
This year, Yunnan Province arranged more than 3 million yuan of subsidies to promote the first batch of 3 million energy-saving lamps. By the end of September, 3.37 million had been completed, and 192,800 households had benefited.
