After Gree sued U.S. air-conditioners for infringing on their utility model patent rights and claimed 50 million yuan, U.S. immediately "counterattacked" and successively initiated three lawsuits against Gree air-conditioners in Guangzhou and Suzhou, accumulating claims of 40 million yuan. However, things are not finished yet. On the morning of July 6, the reporter learned from Midea's air-conditioning that Midea filed a lawsuit against the Guangzhou Intellectual Property Court and sued Gree for infringing on its "Axial Wind Wheel" invention patent and claiming 10 million yuan.
The air conditioning company in the United States stated that it had filed a lawsuit with the Guangzhou Intellectual Property Court again on July 5, requesting that Gree immediately stop production, sales, and promises to sell infringing products that infringe its "Axial Wind Wheel" invention patent, and destroy stock-infringing products and The production of molds, and compensation for economic losses and the prohibition of infringement of the reasonable costs paid 10 million yuan. It is understood that the patent right was granted in 2009. Midea Air Conditioning has been paying annual fees as required, and is now in legal protection. On June 20th, Gree Electric Appliances announced that it was suing the US "Refrigeration King" series of air conditioners for infringing its utility model patent rights and claiming 50 million yuan. During the peak sales season of air conditioners, the patent war provoked by Gree Electric Appliances was interpreted by the market as related to the intense competition in the market.
