The reward of informationization is not a two-day event, but a long-term process of managing hidden benefits. For example, what is the ratio of input and output in a company's scientific research? Another example is training, what is the input-output ratio of training? It is difficult to quantify these indicators into the blood, and they are comprehensive. But thinking in reverse, if a company ceases to use information technology, and all digital systems are changed back to paper operations and changed to previous telephone and fax methods, what will be the consequences? It is not difficult to find that companies are difficult to establish in this world. Informatization has been integrated into the blood of companies and has become the basic foundation for companies to survive in the economic market. It is not a quantitative factor that brings benefits. Therefore, for this foundation, there is no need to quantify its benefits at all.
At present, in information construction, we still regard information as a cost, a tool, and a project rather than the capital that companies should invest. When you look at your assets as assets, you can think about it in various places and high places, although sometimes you can't reach it. When the cost is viewed, it will only be considered from a low point. It is certainly not enough to consider investment as a cost. The greater the expected returns, the greater the investment, and the greater the size of the investment. If everyone expects information technology to be so high, how can they lower their investment?
CIT: What do you think is the key to a new round of information construction?
Pan: Any change will force the external environment to force. Any change will come from outside pressure. When there is no sense of crisis, talking about improving management, motivation is insufficient. Informationization is a matter for the entire enterprise. The original organization must be active and must be related to informatization so that it can be completed. Therefore, although our so-called informatization project is called a project, its operation must not be the same as the project operation in the usual sense, but must be combined with existing organizations. It is difficult to succeed by relying on several so-called all-round talents in order to allow the relevant personnel of the core business to participate in it and their own operations without their participation. Therefore, first of all, high-level officials should discuss these projects on a regular basis, and the main leaders should give people the opportunity to support the project. Second, project managers with strong organizational capabilities and key business users should be drawn out and implemented. It is not enough just to have these, but also to establish a mode of operation for the organization of the off-the-shelf organization and the core business. There is a certain channel, mechanism, and time for the business organization and the project organization to be closely integrated.
